Driving positive change

BACKGROUND: Academy for Systems Change needed to create a new website for their organization that better articulated its mission, values, and personality. The new website, visual language and wordmark needed to establish cohesion and alignment between Academy for Systems Change’s name, brand, and work through compelling design that is welcoming, hopeful, and inspiring.

SOLUTION: A full strategic review of the Academy’s existing web content and a comparable organization analysis focusing on visual language and user experience was completed as a starting point. This helped to inform the proposed moodboard and visual language, site map, and general recommendations. Creating prototypes and then moving forward with development using Squarespace allowed for the Academy to be involved every step of the way, even including a training session so that the team could confidently take on any future website updates. Hand-drawn illustrations and icons bring a human element to the design, while the earthy colour palette and textures tell a story of our connection with nature and the change we are trying to achieve.
